We do not have cameras in the classroom because of safety issues.  We have found that we cannot control who ultimately gets access to the viewing site because family members tend to want to share with friends and family if they see their child enjoying an activity, so for the sake of safety and security of your child we have opted to not have cameras in the classroom.

We post our menus every month in the classrooms and in the cafeteria.  We strictly follow the USDA guidelines and use fresh fruit and vegetables every day.  We select snacks that are low in processed sugars to ensure a healthy and balanced diet.

ABSOLUTELY!  You can message your child’s teacher in real time through the Procare app or call the school to speak to them directly.

Our state-of-the-art front door security systems requires every person to have a specialized key FOB or be let in by a member of management.  Visitors have to sign in, so we can have a record of who has visited our school.  All outside doors to the building remain locked at all times, except when children are on the playgrounds.

As parents with young children, and yes our kids attend FLC, we strive to make education and safety the highest priority.  Our Director makes weekly checks of lesson plans and makes sure that they are being implemented.  Our health and safety board also outlines many of our “best practices” as it pertains to keeping your child safe.  It is so much more than a corporate checklist, quality comes first at Friendship Learning Center.

As onsite owners and operators, you can always be sure to get the person in charge.  We are as committed to the education of your child as we are to our own (chances are our kids have had the same teachers).  We only hire teachers who we would want to teach our kids, it’s a little perk, but everyone gets to benefit from it!

Every child has a free Procare account where teachers post important information regarding their day, outline specific activities that your child has participated in and can be a great tool for reinforcing at home, what was learned at school that day.

Our teachers implement our HighScope curriculum daily.  We even have our lesson plans in a notebook in the classroom for you to look at if you want to.  We cover all of our Learning Domains daily, along with small and large group time to help develop your child’s love of learning. Daily lesson plans are available through the ProCare app for you to review at any time.

Each week our teachers prepare specific lesson plans designed for their classroom.  Instead of a corporate mandate, our teachers have the flexibility to work within their classrooms unique needs.  Our monthly themes are also noticeable upon entry into the classroom, we work hard to create an engaging environment where your child will enjoy learning and playing.

At least twice a day, weather permitting.  If the weather does not allow for outside time, our children will play games in the gym or in our lobby.  This allows them time to stretch their legs and not be stuck in the same room for the entire day.
